“Mare of Easttown”: Kate Winslet Plays Detective in New HBO Series; Check out the trailer!

HBO today released (17) the first official trailer for “Mare of Easttown,” a miniseries starring Oscar winner Kate Winslet.

The work will consist of seven episodes, all directed by Craig Zobel (“The Leftovers“).

Winslet plays Mare Sheehan, a Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local killer as life crumbles around her. The series explores the dark side of a united community and an authentic examination of how family and the tragedies of the past define the present.

Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Angourie Rice, Evan Peters, Guy Pearce, Cailee Spaeny, David Denman, John Douglas Thompson, Patrick Murney, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon, Joe Tippett and Neal Huff complete the cast.

‘Mare of Easttown’ opens April 18, 2021.
