The long-awaited sequel ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ has gained a new addition to its cast.
Lucy Liu, from “The Panthers” and “Kill Bill”, will play the mighty villain Kalypso. The information was revealed by Variety.
The character is Hespera’s sister – who will be played by Helen Mirren – and the daughter of the god Atlas.
Atlas is indeed a character from DC Comics history (as well as Greek myth), carrying the weight of the heavens on his back.
“ Shazam: Fury of the Gods ” opens in June 2023.

In an interview with Backstory Magazine, Sandberg revealed that Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and his alter ego (Zachary Levi) have to face Mr. Brain (Mister Mind, in the original version) in the footage.
“It looks like we could do more with the Shazam family. We featured them in the first movie, but we want to explore how they function as a family of heroes. And we did a little scene with Mr. Brain, and we want to continue on that path. Or we can introduce another villain. There are a lot of choices in Shazam’s world, ”he said.
The Lord Brain is a species of alien larvae from the planet Venus, chosen on your planet to infiltrate Earth.
We know that filming will begin in the spring of 2021 in the United States (period which includes the months of March and June). With this pre-set date, the studio will have enough time to finalize the feature film in post-production and in building its visual effects, so that it can be shown on the big screen in.
