Love and War in the new official music video for the series ‘Dangerous Liaisons’; Check!

STARZ has released a new official clip from ‘Dangerous Liaisons,’ a new series based on the classic epistolary novel of the same name by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.

The production hits the streaming platform on November 6, 2022.

“Dangerous Liaisons” is a bold prelude to Laclos’ classic 18th-century novel, focusing on the origin story of how its iconic characters, the Marquise de Merteuil and the Viscount de Valmont, met as passionate young lovers in a Paris on the eve of the revolution. This modern take on a classic story takes audiences through the wonders and terrors, beauty and decay, seduction and deceit of pre-revolutionary Paris.

Driven to right the wrongs of their past, the young couple’s survival depends on their skills in seducing and manipulating not only the French nobility, but each other as well.

Alice Englert and Nicholas Denton play the notorious lovers: Camille, seduced by the current Marquise de Merteuil (played by Lesley Manville), charts her own path in a world of men, using the power of secrets to regain control, and Valmont , who will stop at nothing to reclaim the title that was recently taken from him. The love story between them, with back and forth, is the heart of the series. This is not love… this is war.

Carice van Houten, Paloma Faith, Michael McElhatton, Kosar Ali, Nathanael Saleh, Hakeem Kae-Kazim complete the cast.
