Keanu Reeves was “SURPRISED” by Matthew Perry’s insults in an autobiographical book

Matthew Perry, in the autobiography ‘Friends, Lovers And The Big Terrible Thing’, made insulting criticism of Keanu Reeves, however, after negative repercussions, the actor recanted and apologized for what happened.

According to Us Weekly, Keanu Reeves would have been quite surprised by the attacks in the book in question.

The initial mention came in a passage about the death of River Phoenix, who was a close friend of Reeves before his death in 1993. It’s worth recalling how Perry also starred opposite River in “A Night in the Life of Jimmy. Reardon” (1988).

“Why do original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, while Keanu Reeves still walks among us?” Perry wrote in the book.

“I drilled a hole in the wall of Jennifer Aniston’s dressing room when I found out [a morte]. Keanu Reeves is walking among us,” he continued.

Keanu Reeves hasn’t commented on the book, but according to the source who spoke to Us Weekly, the actor was surprised by the book’s contents.

“Keanu thought the comments came out of nowhere. Either way, it backfires on Matthew, which is why he had to apologize,” the source told the outlet.

In an interview with Deadline, Perry said it was an innocent and negligent statement, arguing that Reeves was a random name that came to mind as he reflected on the losses.
