Lifetime recently released the official trailer for ‘JANET’, a documentary about iconic pop legend Janet Jackson.
Additionally, it has been revealed that the production, which is split into two episodes, is slated for release on January 28.

Ben Hirsch is in charge of the production. Janet and her brother Randy Jackson join as executive producers.
‘JANET’ explores themes like childhood, early career, motherhood, love life, the infamous Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show and how the allegations against her brother, King of Pop Michael Jackson , affected the worldview of one of the greatest artists of all time. The production will also explore his father’s influence on his career, in addition to the pressure of having one of the record industry’s most memorable last names.
The documentary will feature numerous interviews with celebrities from the entertainment scene, including Mariah Carey, Ciara, Samuel L. Jackson, Janelle Monae, Missy Elliott, Whoopi Goldberg, Regina King, Tyler Perry and Teyana Taylor.
