And we’ll soon have another King of Rock movie, because after winning a biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann, Elvis Presley will return to the big screen as Jacob Elordi, the young villain of ‘Euphoria’, in Sofia Coppola’s new film.
The name of the project is actually called ‘Priscilla’ and is based on ‘Elvis and Me’, this memoir written by Priscilla Beaulieu Presley herself. Elvis Presley’s wife will be played by Cailee Spaeny from the “Mare of Easttown” series.
The film will tell the story of the romance between Elvis and Priscilla from a woman’s perspective. The production will be distributed by A24 in North America and by Vision Distribution and Stage 6 Films/Sony Pictures International Releasing in the rest of the world.
‘Priscilla’, which also has a screenplay by Sofia Coppola, has no set premiere date. Soon CinePOP will bring more news.
