How I Met Your Father season 3 is the most anticipated season by the audience. This spinoff sitcom follows the story of the lead character Sophie and her groupies in Manhattan. In the series, Sophie basically tells her son the story of how she met his father.

The sitcom is filled with amazing characters making the audiences laugh all the time. Sophie is living in 2025 and recalling her love story memories of 2022. How I Met Your Father received excellent reviews from the audience.

Is ‘How I Met Your Father’ Season 3 Cancelled?

Unfortunately, yes! How I Met Your Father season 3 is canceled. There will be no third season of this incredible spinoff series. Therefore, we don’t have a How I Met Your Father season 3 release date.

Hulu didn’t only cancel this incredible series, but even canceled one of the best shows ‘The Great’. We are still waiting on the official word if the show will be picked up by some other network. There are no updates regarding that either. The cancellation of HIMYF season 3 is definitely upsetting for the audience.

The executive producer of the series Craig Thomas commented on the cancellation of the show. He said on the cancelation that sometimes this is how it goes. He even thanked the cast and crew who gave their best and worked hard to make HIMYF a successful show.

Craig’s official statement reads, “Thanks to the wonderful cast and crew who worked so hard on #HIMYF, sometimes this is how it goes in this crazy business. I will miss the feeling, even from afar, of a bunch of #HIMYM production all-stars continuing to make stuff together which always made my heart feel full!”

Though we are not getting How I Met Your Father season 3, we can still speculate. If the show is picked up by another network or Hulu decides to reverse the decision we can expect the old members to make a comeback. The lead cast of the series follows:

Prior to the cancelation of the series Hilary Duff talked about her character Sophie. Hilary mentioned what she loves about Sophie.

She said, “She’s so open-hearted and open-minded, and I love that. She’s not afraid to look dumb, and I feel like in this world of being scared to fail, we’re also afraid to take chances … she still has this childlike quality where she’s unafraid of that.”

What a bummer, right? The cancellation of the series comes as a disappointment to everyone. The loyal audience believes that there should be more stories. In fact, the audiences were curious to see who’s the real ‘father’ in the third season.
