A very moving moment broadcast Sunday, October 9 on Verissimo. Silvia Toffanin had Piera Maggio as a guest on Canale 5. The woman, mother of Denise Pipitone, does not intend to stop in the search, still being deeply and strongly convinced that her creature, who disappeared from business years and years ago , “is still alive”.
Of Denise, who disappeared in 2004 from Mazara del Vallo, there is no trace, yet Piera still does not give up today. In recent years, Maggio has really tried them all, going through very delicate situations. One of them is the story that emerged from the father of little Denise and her son Kevin who is now a young man.

Piera married very young with Tony Pipitone. The couple could not have children, etc. She couldn’t have one and so the two decided – by mutual agreement – to resort to artificial insemination. And Kevin was born that way.
“I hid the secret. I was always torn by the risk of traumatizing him even more. I didn’t want to burden him with that truth either,” the woman revealed. Denise is also not – in fact – the daughter of Pipitone, but of her current husband Pietro Pulizzi.
For her, Denise is still alive
Even if there remains the immense pain of the death of Denise Pipitone, which none of us have ever forgotten, the woman has managed over time to carve out a little freedom that she had to deprive the chatter, decidedly incessant, of people who also had enormous prejudices against him. It is not for nothing that he had until today decided to keep quiet about his son Kevin, now 23 years old. it is precisely for this reason. “I waited even at my own expense,” she says moved to Toffanin.
Then, during the interview with Verissimo, Piera always remembered Denise in the present because her mother’s heart tells her that she is still alive. Ergo, research must continue today and even at full speed!
She’s determined not to give up
“For me, Denise is alive. I believe in it a lot. The fear that they have harmed my daughter is there, but I have always said that I will seek her out until proven otherwise. I’ll quit when there’s evidence she’s gone,” the woman later revealed with a sharp determination, which has always set her apart, but also with a sharp pain that breaks her heart. The heart of a mother who cannot and should not give up and who struggles to carry on without knowing what really happened to her child.

Despite this, Piera prefers “to stay down to earth, as much as possible. However, he also later revealed, “But each time, it is excruciating pain for me to meet these little girls. I am always afraid that it will be traumatic for them too and leave them with a bad memory”. By this he meant those creatures that many believe could be Denise today but who – in reality – as the facts later showed are not.
