Lawrence Kasdan, screenwriter of the film “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, has discussed a possible Disney + series that would follow the events of the film with Alden Ehrenreich.
Kasdan was asked about the possibility of a series that would continue the events of the film. He revealed that not only was there no talk of a Disney+ series, but that he himself prefers the idea of a second film.
“No, we’re not talking about it. I’ve never been particularly drawn to Han Solo’s expansion into a series. But I talk a lot with Jon Kasdan and Ron Howard about what went right and what went wrong with the movie. I would be more interested in doing another movie, not a TV series.
Recall that ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ is available on Disney +, and suffered several problems throughout production, including the replacement of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller by Ron Howard.
The “Solo: A Star Wars Story” prequel disappointed at the box office, grossing just $392.9 million worldwide on a budget of $275 million. However, the production seems to have found a wider audience in the video and streaming market.
Despite having the franchise’s worst box office among Disney-developed films, “Solo: A Star Wars Story” earned a 70% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
