Today, Monday October 31 at 1 p.m., the first Council of Ministers will be held at Palazzo Chigi. On the table, the provisions on expensive bills, justice and the Covid.

Impediment to life imprisonment

First, a decree-law to maintain the so-called life sentence, considered by the Meloni government as an essential tool against organized crime. The provision has become a priority in light of the Constitutional Court hearing to be held on November 8, 2022.

In a note it is specified that the text in question follows the bill number 2574 already approved in the past legislature by the Chamber of Deputies and aims to avoid the easy release of the mafia, since it allows access to penitentiary benefits to the convict who exhibited compensatory behavior and the end of his ties to organized crime.

The Cartabia reform

Still on the justice front, on the CDM table will be the postponement to December 30, 2022 of the entry into force of certain provisions of the Cartabia Reform. The provision intends to respect the deadlines of the Pnrr and allow the organization of judicial offices.

Non-Vax Physician Provisions

As for the Covid, on the other hand, the executive will examine the advancement to November 1, 2022 of the expiry of the vaccination obligation for those who exercise the health professions and the repeal of the sanctions for those who have not respected the obligation. “The objective is to follow up on the indication given by President Meloni in his programmatic statements made to Parliament and thus mark a first act of discontinuity, compared to previous executives, in the management of the Covid-19 pandemic” .

The energy crisis

The Azzurri’s other names could be Perego alla Difesa, Casasco al Mef, Siracusano, Savino and Bergamini. Barachini could have the publishing delegation.
