‘GI Joe Origins: Snake Eyes’ has revealed a new behind-the-scenes video that provides more information on the character’s origins and plot details.

Snake Eyes (Henry Golding) is a headstrong nomad who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of his alleged heir. Upon arriving in Japan, the Arashikage clan teaches Snake Eyes how to become a ninja warrior, while providing him with something he has always dreamed of: a home. But when the secrets of his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and loyalty will be put to the test, even if it means losing the trust of those close to him.
Based on the iconic character of the GI Joe universe, the film also features Andrew Koji in Storm Shadow, Ursula Corberó in Baroness, Samara Weaving in Scarlett, Haruka Abe in Akiko, Tahehiro Hira in Kenta and Iko Uwais in Hard Master.
The feature film will be released in national theaters on August 19.
Robert Schwentke (‘RED: Retired and Dangerous’) is in charge of the directing, based on a screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulos (‘The hunter and the ice queen’).
