Gabrielle Union already has an idea for a possible ‘Teenagers’ sequel

Teen phenom ‘Teenagers’ recently turned 22 since its release – and Gabrielle Union, who played Isis in the film, already has an idea for the sequel’s story.

Via Twitter, Uninon celebrated the production’s anniversary and took the opportunity to let fans know what he thinks for a possible sequel.

In the post, she wrote: “hmmmm so maybe Isis can have a [filha] teenager”.

In 2020, Union and Kirsten Dunst, who played Torrance Shipman, talked about the possibility of a second movie.

During a meeting with director Peyton Reed and screenwriter Jessica Bendinger about ideas for a new chapter in the franchise.

“Maybe we’re the leaders of parent-teacher conferences, I don’t know,” Union said.

Originally released in 2000, the classic teen flick carries a tangible legacy that extends to the present day – and has yielded no less than five VOD sequels (the most recent being released in 2017).

In the plot, “the champion team of cheerleaders, from a wealthy neighborhood, discover that their former captain has stolen the choreography of a competing team, from the center of the city. The championship is approaching and they must race to create another choreography.

The film helped revive the careers of several actresses known today, including Dunst, Union, Eliza Dushku, Lindsay Sloane and Clare Kramer.

A box office hit, “Teenagers: A Little Bit of It” grossed nearly $100 million worldwide and received strong critical acclaim.
