Two consecutive world titles, like Hakkinen and Alonso. Max Verstappen climbs the historic peaks of Formula 1 at a dizzying pace, it seems quite natural to him and even in the media he was prepared for it. He has been talking about him since 2015, when he was only 17 years old and was considered by all to be predestined. The son of Jos achieved this, he beat Hamilton in 2021 and confirmed himself at stratospheric levels in 2022. Ferrari and Leclerc could only oppose in the very first part of the year, then having to leave make way for the overwhelming power of Red Bull. , appeared truly impassable from the French GP. The team of Christian Horner and Adrian Newey are still waiting to understand what sanction the FIA will impose after the budget cap is exceeded. Even with a reduction of the 145 million euros available for investment in the 2023 project, the Milton Keynes parties are confident they can ride the crest of the tide.

Max Verstappen himself has spoken about his future, who a few months ago renewed his contract with Red Bull until 2028.
Speaking to Sky Sport UK, he said: “I can’t see myself driving until I’m 40, I want to do other things too. I’m having a lot of fun with what I’m doing now, I’ll still be in Formula 1. until 2028. After that also depends on how it goes. I will probably try to do another type of competition because it is also important to try different things. I really like being part of this team for a long time and I hope for a long time to come”.
Then on the difference between the 2021 and 2022 titles, he adds: “They were very different. Last year I felt perhaps the worst feeling, that of reaching the last race. Also at the time I didn’t think we were the fastest anymore, that didn’t help either. However, both have been great to experience: it’s also good to have the pressure on yourself and to have to give everything at every lap of the race. It has been a very special year, I think it will be very difficult to match it in the future”.
