“The Fast and Furious 9” became the biggest box office of 2021, with $ 721 million collected worldwide. The film is right behind ‘007: No Time to Die‘ which grossed $ 734 million.
With success, the franchise will gain two more sequels, and they will be filmed simultaneously.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Diesel revealed that “Fast and Furious 10 and 11” will be shot at the same time – even taking the opportunity to reveal the films’ release predictions.
“It will be simultaneous. The idea is to launch them in February 2023 and February 2024 respectively. We should have released [‘Velozes e Furiosos 9’] last year, before the pandemic. So I think what’s going to be different about the release is that we’re going to have a year of development and pre-production for “The Fast and Furious 10”. And so I do these interviews and it’s weird because I have to go back to the ninth movie. I’m celebrating the launch, but I have so much more to celebrate.

“My little brother Dwayne… The time has come. The world is waiting for the end of “The Fast and the Furious 10”. As you know my kids call you Uncle Dwayne at home. No vacation goes by without you exchanging happy messages… But the time has come. The inheritance awaits. I told you years ago that I would keep my promise to Pablo. I swore we would do our best in the 10th movie. I say that for love… But you have to show yourself, don’t leave the franchise inactive, because you have a very important role to play. Hobbs cannot be experienced by anyone else. I hope you will rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.
