The director of the film Christopher Landon announced his exit. He tweeted, “I guess now is as good a time as any to announce I formally exited Scream 7 weeks ago. This will disappoint some and delight others. It was a dream job that turned into a nightmare. And my heart did break for everyone involved. Everyone. But it’s time to move on. No official release date for Scream 7 has been confirmed. This is due to a lot of messed up things that’s been happening. In fact, no plot line has been disclosed too. The script of Scream 7 hasn’t been completed yet.
