In the anime, Four major nations Eagle Union, the Royal Navy, the Sakura Empire, and the Iron Blood form the ‘Azur Lane’ military alliance. They band together in response to the unknown alien force known as the Sirens attacking Earth’s oceans.

The alliance plans to utilize Shipgirls [girls merged with naval warships] to confront the Sirens. The themes of the game revolved around action, science fiction, and military-focused gameplay. This makes the anime more engaging. Now let’s jump into the possibility of Azur Lane season 2.

Azur Lane Season 2 Release Date Speculation

At the moment, Azur Lane season 2’s renewal is still pending. None of the studios made an official confirmation on the happening of a second season. This might be disappointing for the audience because they’ve been waiting for the continuation of the story for a long time. 

If a renewal were to happen this year, it might lead to the production finishing by the end of 2024 or the start of 2025. However, the happening of another season is unlikely. Well, this is just speculation and there is no official confirmation on Azur Lane season 2. 

What To Expect From Azur Lane Season 2? 

The ending of the anime led us to a grand battle between the Shipgirls and the Sirens. Sacrifices were made, actions were taken, and our lead characters learned the meaning of unity. 

However, there are still many mysteries left unresolved, including the true nature of the Sirens and the building of the Azur Lane world. There is also a chance of the internal strife within the Shipgirls themselves. 

The defeat of the villains leaves room for new players across the world. If the second season gets the green light, the possibilities inside this world are infinite. We certainly hope they aren’t yet done with the Shipgirls.
