As per the latest announcement, the show Twisted Metal has been renewed for the new season. Twisted Metal season 2 is happening! After a highly successful first season, series actor Anthony Mackie stated that the show has been given the go-ahead for a second season.

In the upcoming episodes, Mackie guaranteed the return of well-known characters  However, this announcement has come after half a year of the actual show airing, so we can only expect a new season by the end of 2024 at most. However, the show will have exciting new updates.

Mackie has already discussed his concepts for a possible Season 2. Before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Mackie said in an interview that he would like a rematch with Sweet Tooth, his opponent who wears a clown mask, and that “I’m not losing” the next match.

What To Expect From Twisted Metal Season 2? 

Twisted Metal season 2 is expected to be even more exciting than the initial season. The Peacock series does not have a real Twisted Metal competition. Rather, during most of the ten episodes, Raven trains Joe to win the Twisted Metal championship.

Although the absence of a Twisted Metal tournament may have disappointed some, it only guarantees that the second season will feature the tournament and it will be a rewarding payout. Raven also specifically names Calypso, who organized the heinous competition in the video game series. It’s obvious that he’s being set up as the major antagonist.

We might still find out about the back story of the lead, and how he came to be in this exact position that he’s forced to face right now. But outside of the competition, in the upcoming Twisted Metal season, John Doe will grow up and learn how to behave like an adult. He will eventually find out more about his history.

Other Twisted Metal season 2 plot points include Sweet Tooth’s ever-increasing bloodlust and Agent Stone maybe receiving a redemption arc. Whatever happens, it will be an interesting time for the audience!
