Recalling that Sylvester Stallone, the eternal Rocky Balboa, will not resume the character in the third feature film.
In an interview with IGN, Jordan explained why Stallone didn’t return:
“I think Sly made it clear that he wasn’t coming back for this one, but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there will always be a bit of Rocky inside Adonis.” But it’s a Creed franchise, and we really want to build that story and this world around it to move forward. So it’s still respect and still a ton of love for what he’s built, but we really want to move Adonis and the family he created forward. Hope you like what I create… what we prepare. I think it will be something special. “, did he declare.
Recalling that Jordan will also be making his directorial debut with ‘Creed III’.
The feature film will be released on November 23, 2022. It is not yet known when filming will begin.
Tessa Thompson also returns as Bianca Taylor.
Zach Baylin (‘King Richard’) writes.
Remember, ‘Creed II’ was a critical and public success, totaling $ 214.1 million worldwide, topping the first film’s box office ($ 173.6 million).
