“To give even more strength to our groups, reinforcing the skills and resources we have, my indication as new group leaders is for the Honorable Alessandro Cattaneo in the Chamber and for the Senator Licia Ronzulli in the Senate” .

This is what Silvio Berlusconi writes in a letter addressed to the parliamentarians of Forza Italia with a view to the election of the group leaders of the Chamber and the Senate. Thus ends the Ronzulli knot, the very faithful one that the Cav would have wanted in the government team, covering a ministry between Health and Education, but receiving the non-sec from Meloni.

History raised the tone of the negotiations between the parties of the majority, to the point that the senators of Forza Italia left the hemicycle on the occasion of the vote for the presidency of Ignazio La Russa. Only Elisabetta Casellati and Silvio Berlusconi stayed and voted. But the political move to convince Meloni did not help, since La Russa was elected anyway thanks to the votes of the opposition.

After an hour and a half of conversation, the joint declaration has arrived: the truce has been concluded and all the majority parties will go together to the Quirinal for consultations with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

“Now let’s look to the future and think about giving the country a government,” Meloni told Berlusconi. Face to face, the Cav insisted that Elisabetta Casellati be part of the government team. He seems to have verified it for her, with the Ministry of Reform. Berlusconi is said to have asked the Health Ministry for the president of the Red Cross Francesco Rocca and the post of deputy prime minister for Antonio Tajani.
