In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Eric Wallace commented on possible spinoffs from ‘The Flash’, in addition to revealing what to expect from the production’s next season.
“I don’t want to think about spinoffs until we’re done with this series. And I don’t believe our work is done yet. Obviously we’ve introduced a lot of characters over the last few years. If the fans want seeing some of these spin-off characters, they should tell The CW. But we’re going to keep focusing on ‘The Flash’ for now, before we think about anything else.”
On the next season of ‘The Flash’, Wallace reveals what we can expect: “I think everyone already knows one of the villains from season 9. We gave a hint at the end of the eighth cycle. If you know the comics, you’ll have an idea of what’s to come. There will be at least two villains. I don’t know how many episodes we’ll have next year, so I don’t know how many villains. I can integrate into the plot, but one of them will be connected to this crystal at the end of the episode.”
Created by Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and Andrew Kreisberg, “The Flash” is part of the Arrowverse.
