Can ‘Anonymous’ and ‘John Wick’ win a crossover? The director responds!

The action film “ Anonymous ” (Person), starring Bob Odenkirk (from the hit series “ Breaking Bad ” and “ Better Call Saul ”), became a critical and public success in the United States .

In an interview with IndieWire, director Ilya Naishuller raised the possibility that the film would win a crossover with “John Wick” in the future.

Both films have the same screenwriter: Derek Kolstad.

“I love it when people ask, ‘Anonymous and John Wick are in the same universe?’ I’m like, ‘Okay, I can’t say anything. But what you can do is look at which studio made which movie, and then think about the reality of a crossover. That’s all I’ll say. I mean, anything is possible. Strange things certainly happened, but… ”the director joked.

“Anonymous” accompanies Hutch, an underrated husband and father who, after an invasion of his home, sees his dark past take over.

Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film follows the aftermath of an invasion of thieves into the home of Hutch and his family. With his past identity exposed and the return of former enemies, he will need to regain all of his deadly abilities to protect his family.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller, ‘Anonymous’ features the screenplay by Derek Kolstad, from the ‘John Wick’ franchise, and stars like Christopher Lloyd (‘Back to the Future’) and award-winning musician and actor RZA. The production is signed by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, responsible for “Fast and Furious: Hobbs & Shaw”, “Deadpool 2” and “Atomic”.

The premiere in Brazil is scheduled for 2021.
