‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ Season 5 Is Already Renewed

Bob and Abishola will return to entertain the audience with their adventure and humor. The series has been renewed for a fifth season. And things are only getting more thrilling for the audience. Having a show renewed early is like a dream come true.

The official social media account of the show also penned, “Our hearts are bursting to share the news: #BobHeartsAbishola has been picked up for season 5!” Check out the official post below.

Previously, CBS confirmed the renewals of two more primetime sitcoms, Young Sheldon and Ghosts. Previously Gardell said, “It’s such a gift. I thought my ticket was stamped after ‘Mike & Molly’. I had no idea I was gonna get another ride with another wonderful cast and a show that I think has a beautiful sentiment about it.

I’m always attracted to stuff where love conquers all, no matter what the situation is. To me. that’s the secret sauce and I’m really grateful to be working with the group I’m working with.”

‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ Is Still Premiering Season 4

Season 4 is still premiering on the streaming platform every week, and the next episode is titled ‘My Successful Lawyer Son’. It’s scheduled to release on February 6, 2023.

The official synopsis of the series reads, “From award-winning creator, executive producer, and writer Chuck Lorre, Bob Hearts Abishola is a love story about a middle-aged compression sock businessman from Detroit who unexpectedly falls for his cardiac nurse, a Nigerian immigrant, while recovering from a heart attack and sets his sights on winning her over. Undaunted by Abishola’s lack of initial interest or the vast differences in their backgrounds, Bob is determined to win Abishola’s heart, in this comedic examination of immigrant life in America.”

‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ Cast Members

The cast of Bob Hearts Abishola is phenomenal, and they only serve to enhance the storyline. We’d like to see them in Season 5 too. The main cast of the series follows:

  • Billy Gardell as Bob
  • Folake Olowofoyeku as Abishola
  • Anthony Okungbowa as Kofo
  • Barry Shabaka Henley as Uncle Tunde
  • Bayo Akinfemi as Goodwin
  • Christine Ebersole as Dottie
  • Gina Yashere as Kemi
  • Maribeth Monroe as Christina
  • Matt Jones as Douglas
  • Shola Adewusi as Auntie Olu
  • Travis Wolfe, Jr. as Dele
  • Vernee Watson as Gloria

Olowofoyeku talked about Bob and Abishola by stating, “They see themselves in each other, and then they see what they’re lacking and how the other create balance in their lives. They’re the caregivers of their families.

They both give so much of themselves emotionally and financially. So Bob comes into her life and says, ‘Hey, chill out a little. Let’s have some fun.’ And then Abishola comes into his life and says, ‘For someone in my position, it’s not a lot of fun.’ So I think they create balance in each other, while also still allowing room for them to still be themselves.”

And she also talked about the surprise script by saying, “The beautiful thing is that we actually don’t know much of what’s going to happen from one episode to the next, because we get our scripts a few weeks before the audience watches, and I think it’s brilliant because we’re not spending too much energy on worrying on what happens next.

That allows us to actually focus on what the character’s experiencing in that particular moment.”
