Bill Murray says ‘Ghostbusters: Beyond’ will bring ‘franchise back to life’

In an interview with Collider, Bill Murray, who will return as iconic Peter Venkman in “ Ghostbusters: Beyond, ” spared no praise for the new film, saying the production would bring the franchise back to life. .

“I remember Jason Reitman calling me and saying, ‘I have an idea for another movie in the franchise. I’ve had this idea for years ”. I thought, “What could that be?” I remembered him when he was a kid. I remember his Bar Mitzvah. And he had a really amazing idea that he wrote with another great guy, Gil Kenan. They both wrote a movie that brings the Ghostbusters franchise back to life.

He adds, “There’s a feeling in this movie that’s a lot closer to the first movie than the second or the 2016 reboot. I think it’s going to be something special.”

After postponements due to the COVID pandemic, the film will not be released in theaters until November 11, 2021.
