HBO Max has become home to several original DC Universe productions, including the recent ‘Wonder Woman 1984‘ and the already confirmed ‘Pacifier’ and ‘Green Lanterns’ productions. Now, the streaming platform could host other productions from the pantheon of superheroes, of “Batgirl”.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Walter Hamada, one of the original content managers for DC and Warner Media, spoke about the company’s future plans and focused on the ideas he and his team have for virtual service.
In addition to looking to release three to four films in theaters and one to two exclusive feature film releases on HBO Max, Hamada said he would take some risks and plan to release “ Batgirl ” and “ Super. Shock ” directly on the platform.
The executive also revealed that DC Films “will now work with filmmakers to develop weapons for their films – television series that will air on HBO Max and which are interconnected with their productions on the big screen.”
