After being a massive box office success and debuting on HBO Max to rave reviews, “Barbarian” remains one of the most notable horror films of the year.
And among those who gave the film a standing ovation was horror master Stephen King, who tweeted that the film was “amazing” and “incredibly good”.
Justin Long, one of the stars of the film, spoke to ComicBook.com about the praise received by King, who was moved and surprised by the master’s words.
“It makes me emotional. I grew up with Stephen King, I’m his biggest fan, it’s crazy. Sometimes I wonder if people I look up to have seen things I’ve been a part of and know who I am. And I’m proud, I mean, there’s no greater compliment than someone like that. I love his work. It’s a part of my life,” Long said.
On Rotten Tomatoes, “Barbarian” earned an impressive 91% approval rating.
