According to Deadline, Cailee Spaeny (“Pacific Rim: Uprising” and “Young Witches: New Sisterhood”) is in talks to star in the new film in the “Alien” franchise.
Unfortunately, no details on his possible role have been revealed.
The project will be directed by Fede Alvarez, acclaimed for his work on the remake of ‘Death of the Devil’ and ‘The Man in Darkness’.
The new film will feature an “original, stand-alone story” which is expected to feature the return of the iconic Xenomorph.

Ridley Scott, director of the original 1979 film, will serve as producer.
In an official statement, Steve Asbell, President of 20th Century Studios, commented on the project: “Alvarez’s concept is very good, with a great story and several characters that we have never seen before.”
Recall that a series based on the franchise, created by Noah Hawley (“Fargo”), is also being developed by the FX channel. Set in the near future, the plot will take place on planet Earth.
