During the transmission, Alberto Matano explained: “From what we know, there had been precedents, this family had ended up with the squatted house”. Additionally, the driver appeared visibly upset by the incident. A story that also touched the presenter of Italian Stories, Eleonora Daniele. In fact, the showgirl read a live report of a note that a few weeks ago the dead boys’ father wrote to complain about the act of someone who deliberately trapped two of his children in the elevator.
Matano then commented on everything, saying: “It’s a terrible story”. Moreover, the presenter explained that the mother protected her daughter from the fire with her body and is now struggling between life and death, while the autistic son, before he died, desperately asked for help from the balcony to the firefighters, pointing out the dad who was about to jump into the void so as not to be engulfed in flames.
Subsequently, a La Vita correspondent in Diretta revealed: “From investigative sources, we found out that that day in the Corasaniti family’s apartment there was no water, so probably , even though they immediately noticed the flames, they could not have extinguished them”. For the moment, however, it is not excluded that the fire could have been caused by an unconscious gesture of one of the children.
