‘A Prince in New York 2’ splits international criticism, bitter 53% approval rating on RT

The long-awaited sequel to ‘A Prince in New York’ is hitting the Amazon Prime Video catalog soon – but it looks like the new story hasn’t captured the hearts of international critics.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the feature has only gotten 53% approval, scoring 5.70 / 10 based on 62 reviews to date. In the new story, Akeem finds out he has a lost son in the United States and returns to find the new heir to the throne of the fictional kingdom of Zamunda.

The film is directed by Craig Brewer.
