Through his Twitter, Mike Flanagan (“ The Curse of the Hill Residence ”) posted the full cast of his new horror series, titled “ The Midnight Club, ” which is in development for Netflix.
The big surprise comes from Heather Langenkamp, the eternal Nancy of the classic “Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise. The actress will play a doctor who runs the asylum in which the plot takes place.
Actors Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard and Sauriyan Sapkota will star in the production, which will form the Midnight Club.
The cast will also feature Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan and Matt Biedel, in supporting roles.
The series is based on the eponymous book written by Christopher Pike, released in 1994. It must also incorporate other works by the author.
In addition to adapting the plot, Flanagan and Leah Fong are also the executive producers of the project.
The story takes place in Rotterdam Home, a psychiatric hospital for adolescents with mental health problems. A group of patients begins to meet at midnight to tell horror stories. Soon they make a pact so that the person in the group who dies first will contact other people from the afterlife.
I started thinking about an adaptation of THE MIDNIGHT CLUB as a teenager, so it’s a dream come true. It is an honor to introduce a new generation of young horror fans to the world of Christopher Pike. #christopherpike #midnightclub
