The first two seasons of “The Boys” have already proven that the attraction is not just a superhero story as it tackles social and political crises.
And those concepts will be further emphasized in Season 3, as showrunner Eric Kripke revealed.
During an interview with Deadline, the filmmaker explained that the new episodes will show how political polarization affects people.
“’The Boys’ is nothing but political satire. From the start, we were interested in exploring both Vought’s recent history and his role behind the scenes in American politics. The most interesting thing is that the plot of the new episodes will show that the real enemies of the USA do not come from outside, but from within. “
He continued:
“The American people accept myths created by politics because people want to believe they are righteous. But, in fact, the government itself is encouraging disagreement between pro-Republican or Democratic politicians and it affects society in ways we never imagined. It interferes in our routines and even in the way we see others, whether they are better or worse than us depending on the way they think.
Finally, he said the addition of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) was supposed to fix this problem.
“A big part of the comics that we bring to Season 3 are the flashbacks of WWII and Vietnam. We will show how superheroes have become weapons of the government that has affected society for several decades. Soldier Boy was the first hero created by Vought, and he served as a means of public manipulation without anyone realizing the organization’s true plans.
Speaking of which, check out the first official footage of Ackles as a character:

A few months ago, The Illuminerdi pointed out that the character’s origin will be changed in the Amazon Prime adaptation.
For those unfamiliar with him, the Soldier Boy from the comics is a hero who inherited the mantle of a deceased hero, and this exchange has been going on since WWII.
This idea was born so that the Soldier Boy would become an immortal symbol of the American flag, no matter who is in the uniform.
However, the live action version will have a similar origin to Captain America, and he will be portrayed as a soldier who survived WWII and remains alive today.
Apparently, Vought will say that the character died during a mission, but the truth is that he is still alive from the effects of Compound V, but the members of The Seven will eventually find out the truth and question the reactions. drug.
As of now, there is still no way to confirm the veracity of the information, so consider it a rumor.
