According to Deadline, the Disney + ‘Woman-Hulk’ series has hired a strong name to join its cast: Renée Elise Goldsberry.
The actress, who won a Grammy and a Tony for her role as Angelica Schuyler in the acclaimed play “ Hamilton, ” will bring a character named Amelia to life, details of which have not been released.
Goldsberry joins Tatiana Maslany, Ginger Gonzaga, Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth are also part of the cast.
Recalling that recordings have already started in Atlanta, Georgia. The series takes place under two official production titles: “Libra” and “Clover”.
Kat Coiro and Anu Valia enter as directors of the series, which will consist of ten episodes of half an hour each.
The story centers on lawyer Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin who receives a blood transfusion from the Hulk after being between life and death when she was shot by bandits. Because of this, she ends up undergoing a transformation, becoming the Female Hulk. Unlike her cousin, she manages to keep control of her mind, but her human appearance disappears for good.
Over the years, she has become a highly respected heroine and has been a part of the “Avengers”, “Defenders” and even “Fantastic Four”.
