Bayern Still Waiting For Spurs Response to ‘Final’ Kane Offer

Bayern Munich are eagerly awaiting Spurs’ response to their third offer for England captain Harry Kane, including performance-related add-ons. According to reports, Bayern have made three bids totalling PS10.6m which may or may not include performance enhancement.

Munich officials warned that should Spurs reject their advances, they will pursue other targets instead.

1. Kane wants a move to Bayern

Harry Kane appears likely to leave Tottenham Hotspur sooner rather than later, with Bayern Munich making their initial bid of EUR70million plus add-ons being rejected, though they may increase it and wait for Spurs’ response before making another offer.

The Bundesliga champions believe their No 1 target, Harry Kane, wants to move to Germany voluntarily and honorary president Uli Hoeness has confirmed this is his choice. Kane could well be correct in taking this stand on this matter.

Thomas Tuchel would provide him with an effective coach who understands him well, is known for being a skilled negotiator, and would help facilitate negotiations to his advantage. Additionally, it has long been acknowledged that Thomas is driven to win silverware: last season he broke Jimmy Greaves’ Tottenham goalscoring record but despite this has yet to take home anything substantial; additionally his contract runs out next year creating an urgency about his future.

2. He wants his future resolved before Tottenham’s opening Premier League game

Kane and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy have discussed financial factors during discussions between themselves; however, Kane’s primary goal in joining Bayern Munich is not financial in nature but personal: his aim is to become the Premier League’s leading goalscorer – currently 48 goals behind Alan Shearer – with Germany providing him an opportunity to win that team trophy which has so far eluded him.

Kane has indicated his preference to join Bayern over other clubs interested in signing him, including Paris Saint-Germain. But he is unwilling to force a move and wants his future settled before Spurs open their season against Brentford on August 13.

3. He wants to stay in the Premier League

Kane understandably believes it would be unfair for him to leave once the season has begun, so wants his future resolved prior to Spurs’ first Premier League game. That will also enable Spurs to settle other deals without getting involved in bidding wars which may see Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland leave on free transfers next summer.

However, it seems the club’s hierarchy may be reluctant to sell Kane. They have been buoyed by his impressive start to their season, while new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is an effective communicator who has fostered an excellent relationship between himself and England striker Harry Kane.

Kane still must convince himself of Tottenham being the right place to continue his development as a player, although Daniel Levy may allow for him to leave with an excessive transfer fee in return.

4. He wants to stay at Spurs

At its core, Moles remains committed to Spurs even though he’s entering his final year of contract. He wants to be part of a club competing for major honours like he saw with their Champions League win last season.

But Levy may find himself without an option in 12 months should he not persuade the forward to sign a new deal, making the prospect of his leaving without compensation an alarming proposition for Premier League sides.

According to reports in Germany, Bayern Munich have made what they consider their ‘final offer’ for Kane. The Bundesliga giants want a swift resolution before the new season begins; but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s reputation as an aggressive negotiator won’t easily be shaken off by Bayern’s aggressive approach; making this week a key one in negotiations between both clubs.
