Hugh Dancy Shared Why ‘Hannibal’ Season 4 May Not Happen
Spectators have been waiting for Hannibal Season 4 to be renewed and released. However, the series’ actor recently shared some disappointing season 4 updates.
And also mentioned what’s taking up so long to have updates. There are several reasons for this, including funding and others.
Hugh Dancy portraying Will Graham said, “We keep saying when we get asked, ‘Oh, we’d love to do it,’ which is true. Maybe it’ll take one of us to say, ‘I will absolutely never do a fourth season of Hannibal’, but that would be a lie.”
Adding, “I’m not exactly surprised because essentially, first and foremost, somebody has to write a fairly sizeable check.
I’m not talking about me being paid. I’m talking about the cost of making a season of television.
For a while, it seemed like the streamers were gonna be everybody’s savior, in that respect, but now there’s been a cutoff there.
There are shows that are watched by millions of people that don’t make it past a second season. So, I have no idea what that calculation is.”
It’s also revealed that it was canceled due to low viewership.
Hugh Dancy Said The Ending Of Season 3 Is Fairly Conclusive Fashion
If you watched all three seasons of Hannibal you already know what happened. Hugh Dancy believes that the ending is pretty satisfying, “We may literally just age out of it and the people online will start to say, ‘Well, actually, that might be slightly gross.’”
Hannibal Season 3 ended in “fairly conclusive fashion,” according to the performer.
Despite receiving a cult following and being regarded by audiences and critics as among the best horror series of all time, it is still on the verge of either having another season or is canceled.
Earlier, Fuller discussed Hannibal’s influence and stated, “When I sat down to the script, I was very consciously saying, ‘What would David Lynch do with a Hannibal Lecter character? What sort of strange, unexpected places would he take this world?’
I’m a great admirer of his work and his aesthetic and his meticulous sound design. Those were all components that I felt very strongly needed to be part of our Hannibal Lecter story. Between Lynch and Kubrick, there’s a lot of inspiration.”
