‘The Walking Dead’ finale will make viewers cry, says showrunner

In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Angela Kang revealed that the end of “The Walking Dead” series – which will come to an end after 11 seasons – will be very emotional and will bring viewers to tears.

🇧🇷[O último] the episode will be exciting. It will be a great trip. For viewers, there will be tears. And the crying will happen for different reasons for different characters. We feel that the foundation of this series is the horrors of this world. There are a lot of action and adventure scenes, but viewers keep following this story because of the characters. There is something about them that makes the worst circumstances inspiring. We’re leaning into that because we think that’s where the heart of the show is.”

She adds, “There will be lots of action, scary, high-stakes scenes. The final episode will have it all. But most important are the adorable scenes between the characters themselves. I am always impressed by our actors and their work. Greg Nicotero outdid himself by directing an extremely difficult episode.

Titled Rest in Peace, the final episode will air on November 20.

Created by Frank Darabont, the series is based on the eponymous comic book by Robert Kirkman.

The plot accompanies a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world that must not only face the dead, but also the living.

The cast includes Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Cooper Andrews, Callan McAuliffe and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
