Over the past few hours, the Revenue Agency has been busy formalizing the bonus. In fact, on the official website, circular n. 35/E. This communication provided employers with instructions on how to proceed with contribution recognition, as well as a series of clarifications on outstanding issues. Furthermore, this decree only established for the 2022 tax period the sums paid and reimbursed by the employer for the payment of electricity, gas and water bills.

This new contribution arrived with the Draghi government can only concern invoices paid by the employee for domestic users. The Revenue Agency has therefore made it clear that only invoices relating to residential properties owned or held, on the basis of the appropriate title, by one of the employees, spouse of the employee or member of the employee’s family should be considered as such. In addition, the only condition is that the bonus is only used for expenses related to public services.

These utilities can be included in the condominium. Or the citizen can use it for domestic purposes on behalf of the property owner. To receive the subsidy, the citizen must provide the employer with:
