Valentino’s Pink PP rose also conquers Pantone

Pantone and Valentino team up and present a new experience: they have created a collection of Pink PP objects from the house and the gadgets are available in limited edition.

Ever since Valentino introduced the show, its new shade of pink, rebranded as Pink PP, has been an instant hit with celebrities. A shocking, yet bolder pink beloved in Hollywood and a component of the most treasured red carpets. And it is perhaps thanks to this love that Pierpaolo Piccioli was able to shake hands with Pantone today.

Its Pink PP has in fact been chosen by the American brand known throughout the world for having cataloged the different shades of colors by giving them a name. And it seems that he welcomed another, which comes from Italian haute couture. The Pink PP, moreover, flourished in a propitious period since in recent months fashion addicts have rediscovered the sweet charm of Barbiecore. Thanks to the release of the new film dedicated to the Mattel doll with the features of Margot Robbie, pink has become the perfect color to be glamorous at the right time.

We tasted it on the catwalks, but also on the various red carpets, from Zendaya who was chosen as the protagonist of the latest Valentino campaign to Florence Pugh. And what about the stars closest to the Italian fashion house, like Anne Hathaway herself who used Pink PP for her social events? A charm destined to last, that of Valentino pink, and which could perhaps get dangerously close to this iconic red color that has marked the history of the house.

When in doubt, the creative director made creative and sometimes experimental deals with Pantone for a new project. Its Pink PP marked the Fall/Winter 2022/2023 collection but, not satisfied, it lent itself to a new experiment. With the complicity of Pantone, he has created iconic objects such as mugs and thermoses, which reproduce the iconic V logo for Valentino.

By teaming up with Copenhagen Design ApS, the gadgets have landed on the market as a kind of limited edition. They have been available since October 13 both on home e-commerce and in a few pop-ups distributed around the world. The collection includes stationery such as notebooks, key rings, pens, pots and even an umbrella. Moreover, for Valentino it is a step forward since it is the first haute couture house to sign agreements with Pantone to create both a color and a capsule of objects. Piccioli had already anticipated this some time ago and this partnership has finally seen the light of day, in honor of all pink addicts.
