Netflix ready to finally introduce the basic plan with advertising. The new subscription, which includes commercial breaks during viewing, will be available in the United States and Canada from November 1 at 5:00 p.m. It will cost €5.49 per month, compared to €7.99 for the traditional base plan. Already in April this year, the video streaming platform announced the arrival of the new tariff plan. The purpose of this subscription is to recover subscribers lost during the year.

Netflix has therefore introduced the new type of subscription with advertising in addition to the traditional Basic, Standard and Premium plans and is available in 12 countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Korea, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom , Spain and the United States). Compared to the original plans, an average of 4-5 minutes of commercial breaks per hour is introduced. However, a number of movies and TV shows will not be available due to licensing restrictions. At launch, ads will be 15 or 30 seconds long and will be inserted before and during shows and movies.
