According to Box Office Pro, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is expected to gross between $180 million and $225 million in its opening weekend domestically, in the United States and Canada.
If the sequel hits projections, the mark will surpass the opening box office of the previous film, which grossed $202 million in the region during the same period.
However, the portal points out that the sequel is expected to finish the domestic box office run with an estimated worth between $445 million and $590 million.
The original ended its run with $700 million.
Still, the sequel could be more profitable than Marvel’s latest titles, like “Shang-Chi” ($224.5 million), “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ($411.3 million) and ” Thor: Love and Thunder” ($343.2). million).
