A very appreciated vocal trio and which – certainly, having left when its three members were only children, it has all the references to make the history of Italian music and not only seen, which are now practically known in the world over for their amazing singing skills. We are clearly talking about Il Volo, alias Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble. The three are very close but Ignazio also worked alone on a project, that of writing the song which will be the soundtrack of the television series Makari. the singer is also known for something else…

Ignatius’ disease

The young tenor from Marsala has not had an easy life and his success is the result of so many sacrifices for him and his family. His parents, Caterina Licari and Vito Boschetto, tried to give him and his sister a decidedly carefree year, but his mother’s illness marked the Sicilian artist who also had to face, from the first days from his coming into the world, to an illness. Basically, he was born with a single kidney but big enough to perform the function of two organs.

From a medical point of view, the problem of the tenor of Il Volo is defined as “agenesis”, or “the complete absence of an organ, due to an incorrect embryonic development. “The whole” is caused by anatomical anomalies of a congenital nature”.
Ignatius’ life was also marked by the illness of his beloved mother Catherine, who fought against a tumor.

“Bad experiences we may remember with a bitter smile but that was our past,” the tenor told Sunday Live. Shortly after, he also added: “My sister and I did not want what children our age wanted, we only wanted our mother to come home as soon as possible!”.

Ignazio Boschetto experienced great pain – however – with the death of his father Vito, just the day before the performance of Il Volo at the Sanremo Festival. Ignazio, however, also decided to honor his commitment made with the well-known event and attend with his colleagues for the tribute to Maestro Ennio Morricone.
