After NBC announced that “ Brooklyn Nine-Nine ” would end after Season 8, fans were unsure how to handle the news.
As well as having to say goodbye to Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his company, many were unhappy when they remembered that the final cycle will only be 10 episodes, the shortest in the entire production.
On social networks, Internet users are already posting messages of disappointment and sadness over the decision, since they have spent so many years smiling with the adventures of the characters.

“I am so grateful to NBC and Universal Television for allowing us to give the ending that viewers and these characters deserve,” said executive producer Dan Goor. “I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with this incredible cast and team for eight seasons. They are not only the most talented people in the industry, but also great people who have become family.
Created by Daniel J. Goor and Michael Schur, the series was canceled by FOX, but saved by NBC.
Jake Peralta is the talented and carefree detective from Brooklyn’s 99th Borough who, along with his eclectic group of co-workers, came across a relaxed captain in the office. Everything changes when chronically tense new Captain Ray Holt arrives at the police station, ready to make this dysfunctional group of detectives the best in Brooklyn.
The cast includes Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller.
