10 albums that will be 15 years old in 2021

Fifteen years ago, names like Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse and Beyoncé released some incredible albums that would go down in history, while Taylor Swift and Jonas Brothers made their debuts in the music industry.

To celebrate some of the big anniversary albums, continuing our series of special materials, we have separated ten albums that will be 15 years old in 2021.

I’m not dead, rose

Pink’s fourth studio album, “I’m Not Dead,” debuted in the Billboard 200 Top 10 and was met with great critical acclaim. Experimenting with new sounds and collaborating with new producers, the album’s theme revolves around the responsibilities of adult life and the realities of everyday life. It should be remembered that the first single, “Stupid Girls”, is one of the artist’s most successful songs.

Released less than a year after Rihanna’s debut, ‘A Girl Like Me’ has brought collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ne-Yo, as well as elements of pop, reggae and music. R&B. Combined with the singer and songwriter’s Caribbean roots, the work spawned singles such as “SOS” and “Unfaithful”.

“Taking the Long Way” is the most famous album of the group known today as The Chicks. Sold over 2.5 million copies in the United States alone and being considered one of the most successful productions of all time, the work incorporates country and American songs and features songs such as “Not Ready to Make Nice” and “Everybody Knows”. The work won five Grammy statuettes, including Album of the Year.

With no less than eight official singles, “Loose” is the third album by Canadian artist Nelly Furtado and was released in June 2006. Bringing influences from dance, R&B and hip-hop, the work explores themes such as female sexuality. described as an introspective personal narrative by the artist – and has sold 10 million copies since its release.

“It’s About Time” is the musical debut of the trio known as the Jonas Brothers and counts eleven tracks. One of the songs in the work was part of the soundtrack for the teen adventure “Aquamarine”. Two other songs were released as singles: “Mandy” and “Year 3000”.

Christina Aguilera has one of the most powerful and famous voices on the contemporary scene and rose to fame as a teenager. In 2006, Aguilera released the best album of his career, “Back to Basics”, in which he incorporated elements of jazz and soul, in addition to paying homage to idols like Etta Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. Embodying Baby Jane’s alter ego, the artist brought songs like “Candyman” and “Ain’t No Other Man” to life.

B’DAY, Beyoncé

Beyoncé’s second album was inspired by her participation in the ‘Dreamgirls’ biopic and won the world with crisp singles and solid critical acclaim. Nominated for several Grammy Awards, “B’Day” features the singles “Irreplaceable”, “Beautiful Liar” and “Ring the Alarm”, in addition to coinciding with the singer’s 25th birthday.

It’s hard to imagine Taylor Swift started his career fifteen years ago – after all, since then he’s been following a path of continued success and maturity. His eponymous debut may not be remembered, but he deserves attention for putting such a young voice in the spotlight. Recognized for its lyrical content, the work features the famous songs “Teardrops in My Guitar”, “Dear John” and “Tim McGraw”.

Amy Winehouse left us very early on, but it had a huge impact on the music industry with her only two albums. “Back to Black”, his last production before the tragic death, saved the elegance of neo-soul, jazz and blues through songs like “Rehab” and “You Know I’m No Good”, in addition to influence artists like Adele and Duffy. Winehouse has won numerous awards for his CD, including five Grammy Award statuettes.

15 years ago, Gwen Stefani released her second studio album, titled “The Sweet Escape”. Easily his most famous production in the world, Stefani opened the doors to more modern explorations of pop and designed singles such as the title track, “Wind It Up” and “4 in the Morning”.
