‘Eternals’: Angelina Jolie says people annoyed by LGBTQIA + scenes in film are ignorant

The release of ‘Eternals’ sparked controversy in more conservative countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, due to the explicitly LGBTQIA + scenes in the production.

Due to the presence of queer characters, the locations in question have banned the film from theaters – but that hasn’t stopped the iconic Angelina Jolie, who brings Thena to life, from responding to the countries decision, claiming that people irritated by the story that they are “ignorant”.

“I’m getting sad [pelos espectadores]. And I’m proud of Marvel for refusing to cut scenes, ”she commented in an interview with news.com.au. “I still don’t understand how we live in a world today where people don’t see the Phastos family as something beautiful and a loving relationship. Anyone who gets angry, threatened, angry, disapproves or dislikes, is ignorant.

Despite mixed reviews, “Eternos” grossed $ 19.8 million on its first day in the international market, not counting the United States.

The highlights were South Korea (US $ 6.1 million), Mexico (US $ 1.3 million) and Brazil (US $ 1 million).
