It looks like Paramount + has quietly renewed the critically acclaimed spinoff series “1883,” a prequel to the acclaimed drama “Yellowstone,” for Season 2. According to reliable Production Weekly, the second cycle is already in development.
The news is not surprising, given that the production has become the most-watched original production in the history of the streaming service. The data also takes into account when the streaming was still called CBS All Access.
Without revealing the ratings, Paramount + revealed that the debut album of “1883” “more than doubled” the previous record.
It should be remembered that in addition to making its debut on the streaming service, the first episode was also released on Paramount Network, where it recorded 4.9 million viewers.
The stars of the production have previously confirmed Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who will be the show’s main couple. Sam Elliott, Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May and LaMonica Garrett also feature in the main cast.
