According to TVLine, there is a good chance that the musical “Zoey and her Fantastic Playlist” (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) will not be canceled.
The website claims Lionsgate – the studio behind the production – is currently in talks and is exploring various storylines for the series’ continuation. Unfortunately, there’s a small catch: The actors’ contract has expired, which means new deals will have to be made before production returns for a third season.
Earlier, series showrunner Austin Winsberg said, “I refuse to believe the series is dead. There is a lot of love and goodwill involved, and our fans are amazing. Here’s what we need: I think we have a good chance of finding a new home, but the more support we have the better. Please tweet about #saveZoeysplaylist.
The second season recorded an average of 0.35 in the demo and a total of 1.8 million viewers, which is one of the worst audiences on the chain.
Don’t forget that the first season is now available on Globoplay!
