In an interview with ScreenRant, Zack Snyder, known to be one of DC’s prominent names, said he would join Marvel Studios on one condition: if he could direct a movie about the iconic heroine Elektra.
Snyder was very categorical in his commentary and was specific, saying he would adapt a particular story called “Elektra Lives Again”.
“I would choose ‘Elektra Lives Again’. You know those Frank Miller comics? It’s a graphic novel about Elektra. Daredevil dreams of Elektra coming back to life, and it’s super cool and weird. It’s cool and beautiful. This is what I would do. Nobody cares, but that’s what I would do, ”he said.
With a story signed by Miller and Lynn Varley, the work in question was published in March 1990 by Epic Comics (expansion Marvel Comics) and functions as a spin-off of “ Daredevil ”, revolving around the apparent resurrection of the Elektra ninja warrior. In 1991, the famous head office won an Eisner Award for Best New Graphic Album and a UK Comic Art Award for Best Original Graphic Novel.

It should be remembered that Elektra was already taken to theaters in 2003 through the film “Daredevil – The Man Without Fear”, which was bombarded by critics despite a considerable collection at the box office. In 2005, the character won a long solo, which to this day is considered one of the greatest failures of all time, making just $ 56.6 million worldwide and a bitter 11% approval on Rotten Tomatoes.
Jennifer Garner played the warrior in both productions.
