‘Yellowjackets’ Season 2 Release Date and Trailer

They brought the darkness back with them.

Yellowjackets is a thriller that has already returned for a second season. A group of teenagers is involved in a plane crash in 1996 in the series. Their plane crashes in the wilderness, leaving the survivors stranded for months.

It also revolves around their survival and displays their flashbacks from their current lives in 2021. The team has already come up with some fantastic ideas for the upcoming season and beyond. In addition, the release date and trailer are already revealed.

Yellowjackets is described as a ‘survival epic, psychological horror story, and coming-of-age drama.’ Watching the characters struggle in the initial season is just more thrilling for the spectators. Let’s take a look at the second season.

‘Yellowjackets’ Season 2 Release Date Is Already Confirmed

Yellowjackets season 2 will premiere on March 26, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. But the streamers of Showtime have a bonus. The episodes will be available two days before the official release date on the streaming platform. And that’s March 24, 2023. 

Showtime’s official logline reads, “Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness,” per Showtime’s official logline.

“The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”

The official Yellowjackets account tweeted, “Acolytes, prepare your offering. The #Yellowjackets awaken at dawn.”

The release date is pretty near which means a whole season of a thrill is waiting for the audience.

Fortunately, there’s also a teaser trailer for the spectators. And it will just enhance your excitement. “Listen to my voice and watch the light,” Lottie instructs Natalie at the start of the trailer. “Allow yourself to go back.”

“No matter how difficult it gets,” she continues. What do you see?” Then there is a deep voice saying, “Darkness. “You brought it with us.” The trailer reveals that even though the girls have returned, the darkness remains.

They realized it was happening again, and they weren’t alone out there. The teaser ends with, “Kidnapping, cults, death, your friendship are a little more complicated than most.”

Lyle hinted about a cult perspective by saying to an outlet, “We are very much interested in exploring the theme and concept of belief and what that means for us in terms of our worldview — the way that we interact with the world around us, the way that we interact with other people, and forge those relationships.

That is absolutely something that we will be investigated by means of this growing belief that has started to emerge amongst the girls in the wilderness and what that might mean in the present day.”
