In an interview with IGN, Simon Kinberg, former producer of the ‘X-Men: Black Phoenix’ franchise was asked if he was excited about the upcoming arrival of mutants to the MCU.
In response, the filmmaker praised the work of Marvel Studios Creative Director Kevin Feige and explained why he’s the right person to bring the heroes back to the big screen.
For him, Feige is the greatest producer in the history of cinema.
“To tell you the truth, I have no idea what they are going to do [com os ‘X-Men‘]. But Kevin [Feige] know what you are doing. I would say he is the greatest producer in the history of cinema. Truly. I mean, if you look back, in terms of quality and obviously business success, there’s no question about it.
As well as producing the mutant films since “X-Men: The Final Showdown,” Kinberg also directed “X-Men: Black Phoenix,” which ended up failing both critics and audiences.
