On the TV show Sweet Valley High, she played Elizabeth Wakefield. Cynthia is five minutes younger than her twin sister Brittany. Both were born in Gainesville, Florida. 

They have a brother named Brad. They were born to Carol and Charlton B. Daniel, Jr., who died in 2008 of cancer. Cindy was chosen as her school’s Homecoming Queen.

The girls started modeling when they were 11 years old. They were signed to the Ford Agency and had roles in YM and Sassy. They were also known as the Doublemint Twins in ads for Doublemint gum.

After the 1997 end of Sweet Valley High, Daniel stopped playing and became a photographer. She has only been in one movie since then, an episode of That 80s Show in 2002 with her twin sister Brittany. She and Brittany played lead parts in the 2022 remake of Cheaper by the Dozen.
