This weekend, the African anticyclone returns to the peninsula, ready to characterize the weather: what is happening.
This weekend and next week, Italian citizens will suffer the effects of Octobrata bis. We will therefore have a meteorological situation marked by good weather and a renewed high pressure.

Meteorologists have finally confirmed that the high pressure has returned to the Italian peninsula. In fact, from this weekend and especially from next week we will have the October encore. This time, however, the consequences of this new expected late heat wave on most of Italy will be quite significant. All this is due to the particular synoptic configuration that will take shape at the hemispheric level as of Monday, October 17. It is therefore an atmospheric block that surrounds the country.
Going into detail, we will have a zone of high pressure, an anticyclonic bubble, literally “nailed” and therefore obliged to remain in a large zone for a long time, with the main effect of not only keeping away any Atlantic disturbance. Cold raids from the North Pole will also be kept at bay. This means that there will be neither cold nor rain for the next few days. On the other hand, the arrival of fine weather in most regions is confirmed.

After the intense phase of disturbed weather of the last few weeks, the high pressure will recover the Italian peninsula. However, it will not be the African return to school that we would have had if we had been in the summer period, despite this we will still have a rise in temperatures. However, we must always consider that we are in October and therefore there will be no peaks up to 40 degrees. What is certain is that we will not have rain and precipitation in the next few days. So let’s find out what is happening in the three sectors of the Italian peninsula.
Over the regions of northern Italy, we will have cloudy skies that will cover several regions from the morning. The medium-low clouds will be particularly intense over the Liguria of Levante, where there may be rain. Temperatures will not change, with highs stabilizing between 20 and 24 degrees.
On the other hand, in the regions of central Italy, we will have clear or partly cloudy skies from the early hours of the day. Only a few thickenings will cover the sky of upper Tuscany, with local drizzles especially in Versilia. Temperatures will see a very slight rise, with highs ranging from 22 to 26 degrees.
Finally, over the regions of southern Italy we will have a slightly cloudy sky in the morning over the peninsular areas, while the situation will still be partly rainy over Sardinia and Sicily. Here, the thermal values will increase slightly, with maximum temperatures ranging from 21 to 26 degrees.
