And that’s not all, in the medium and long term, the worst could happen around mid-October. A Mediterranean cyclone will deepen on the lower Tyrrhenian triggering showers, also in the form of thunderstorms and violent gusts of wind.

However, the vortex will be blocked by high pressures, both to the east and to the north. In this way, thus remaining substantially trapped, stationary and active for some time over the same areas, the anticyclonic vortex could have dangerous implications. The greatest danger with this type of meteorological configuration concerns the stationary nature of stormy phenomena which can persist for several hours in the same areas of the territory. And cause, in the most extreme cases, very harmful flash floods.

Weather, extreme events on the horizon
